No, you're fine. It looks like I didn't read closely enough. The best answer I can think of (which isn't perfect) is that while the image is selected in the Finder, press Return to highlight the filename and copy it. Then in Lightroom paste the filename into the Find field and press Return. That's what I've done in the past.

 

You might look around on Lightroom plug-in and extension websites like Photographer's toolbox or talk to those developers about creating some kind of Finder integration.
